Tudor celebrates the second consecutive year of the partnership of TUDOR with Flanders Classics. The brand supports the classic cycling races as the official timekeeper, including the Tour of Flanders which will take place on Sunday, April 6. Established for more than a century as a competition so important that it is familiarly known as "De Ronde."
TUDOR ambassador Fabian Cancellara has won the Tour of Flanders three times. Today, he accompanies the TUDOR Pro Cycling team in their preparation for this new edition. The bold character of the race has led TUDOR to become the official timekeeper of Flanders Classics.
Professional cycling is a particularly tough sport, where athletes push their physical and mental limits with each pedal stroke. It is also a dangerous sport, where collisions and accidents are not uncommon and can be violent. A watch designed to be used in the peloton must therefore meet a high standard of performance while being easy to handle.
For this occasion, TUDOR unveiled in 2024 a new Pelagos FXD model: a lightweight and functional "cycling" chronograph with carbon composite case and high-performance Calibre Manufacture. This new model echoes the unique philosophy of a team that dares.
The carbon composite, combined with titanium components, that TUDOR has chosen for the case of its new chronograph, offers robustness and lightness. The matt black dial and angular "Snowflake" hands of the Pelagos FXD Chrono "Cycling Edition" emphasize readability. Red touches recall the colors of the TUDOR Pro Cycling Team, notably a tachymetric scale recalibrated for cycling and applied on the 45° inclined flange on the dial periphery.
