In Geneva, at the Watches & Wonders 2025 exhibition, the stars aligned for Panerai. With eagerly awaited new releases and exceptional pieces, the Italian brand reaffirmed its unique position in the world of watchmaking. With the redesigned Luminor Marina, the Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech and the Jupiterium planetarium clock, Panerai reached (literally) astronomical heights.

The undisputed emblem of the brand, the Luminor Marina returns in a modernised version. Equipped with the P.980 calibre, it guarantees a three-day power reserve and impressive water resistance up to 50 bar. The crown protection bridge, luminous sandwich dial and now Super-LumiNova® X2 ensure legibility and robustness in all conditions.

PERPETUAL CALENDAR GMT PLATINUMTECH
Designed for connoisseurs, the Luminor Perpetual Calendar GMT Platinumtech (PAM01575) showcases Panerai's expertise. Its Platinumtech™ case – an exclusive platinum alloy that is 40% harder than standard platinum – houses the P.4100 calibre, the result of more than ten years of development. This automatic movement with double barrel features a perpetual calendar that can be adjusted without tools, with a date disc that can be adjusted in both directions via the crown.
Its blue sapphire crystal dial reveals the day/date discs. Water-resistant to 50 metres, this rare piece (€78,000) is available exclusively in stores.

JUPITERIUM: THE CELESTIAL MASTERPIECE
For centuries, watchmakers and astronomers have observed the same phenomena. Panerai continues this tradition with a contemporary vision that combines celestial movement and micromechanical precision. A tribute to Galileo's discoveries, the Jupiterium is an impressive planetarium clock. It represents the trajectories of celestial bodies, including Jupiter and its Galilean moons.
Its hand-wound mechanism includes a linear perpetual calendar, eight barrels, a 40-day power reserve and a patented retrograde function. This last detail makes it possible to reproduce the phenomenon of the apparent ‘reversal’ of certain planets, an effect observed from Earth that already fascinated Renaissance astronomers.
The whole thing is rigorously orchestrated in a 110 kg structure combining titanium, black aluminium and mahogany. The celestial sphere rotates at the pace of a sidereal day: 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds. The constellations, the signs of the zodiac and Italy at the heart of the globe are a reminder of both Panerai's origins and its roots in a demanding scientific tradition.
