BLUE FOR YOU
With the J12 BLEU, CHANEL unveils a bold first: a matte blue ceramic that is intense, unprecedented and imbued with mystery. Available in two sizes — 38 mm and 33 mm — this limited edition celebrates a quarter century of watchmaking innovation. Five years of research went into achieving this deep shade, which seems to absorb light rather than reflect it.
The models are powered by the automatic calibres 12.1 and 12.2, certified chronometers produced by the Swiss Manufacture Kenissi. From the satin-finished case and blackened bezel to the ceramic bracelet, every detail reflects total mastery of the material and a strong taste for simplicity. This is a watch that does not seek to shine, but to captivate with its colourful discretion.
IN THE SPOTLIGHT
Striking and perfectly confident, the J12 Calibre 12.2 33 mm is unveiled this year in yellow gold. Every detail has been designed to capture the light: lacquered dial, baguette-cut diamonds, bezel highlighted by a ring of varnished sapphire. For the first time, the bracelet features polished gold centre links, giving the watch a new, almost solar presence.
The movement, visible through the sapphire crystal case back, displays a meticulous architecture, right down to its gold oscillating weight. The Calibre 12.2, designed for this specific size, offers a 50-hour power reserve and a finesse that favours precision over obviousness.
‘In 25 years, CHANEL has elevated ceramics to the status of a precious material,’ emphasises Arnaud Chastaingt. ‘The Calibre 12.2 embodies the quintessence of our technical standards.’
